Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Arturo Tardelli kicked off to start the match. If Arturo Tardelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 7th minute Edmondo Antonini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ennio Catena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Valle Benedetta AFC's zone, Arturo Tardelli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonio Costa came out of the goal and Arturo Tardelli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25th minute, Comunardo Petrucci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antonio Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Tardelli in the 27th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Arturo Tardelli fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Antonio Costa, passed just outside the right post. After 37 minutes, Amos De Vincentis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Leo and the Valle Benedetta AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Valle Benedetta AFC's Ernesto Pallotta was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ennio Catena in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 43rd minute, Edmondo Antonini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Edmondo Antonini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Valle Benedetta AFC's Antonio Colangelo got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 58 minutes into the game, Alexander Laurenti cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Antonio Costa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 62 played minutes, San Leo's Franco Malandra shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Antonio Costa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in San Leo reached it. Arturo Tardelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Antonio Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84thth minute of the game Arturo Tardelli who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valle Benedetta AFC's Antonio Costa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alexander Laurenti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antonio Costa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arturo Tardelli's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Edmondo Antonini kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ennio Catena. That made the score 3-1 in the 92 minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The San Leo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Valle Benedetta AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
