After 2 minutes, Alvaro Desiderio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cogliate FC and the Agnano FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Agnano FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Augusto Feltrin hit a great ball. With his leg Bruno Mantini managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Cogliate FC's Fulvio Palermo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 10th minute Augusto Lupi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Mantini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Cogliate FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenio Di Gaetano came free, but Claudio De Amicis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Muto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 18th minute, Eugenio Di Gaetano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claudio De Amicis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 21 minutes into the match, Cogliate FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Muto came free, but Claudio De Amicis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Davide Tornese fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Agnano FC's protests and gave Davide Tornese a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd match minute, Agnano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davide Tornese to maneuver through the defense. Eugenio Di Gaetano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio De Amicis having to interfere. If Eugenio Di Gaetano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Cogliate FC's Alessio Vettori got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cogliate FC's goalkeeper Claudio De Amicis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Agnano FC's Bruno Mantini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Lupi in the 44th minute of play. The Cogliate FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Agnano FC were winning 0-1.

Ettore Del Gatto hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Emanuele Quercia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Claudio De Amicis having to make a save. Alvaro Desiderio hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Fulvio Palermo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fulvio Palermo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Mantini having to interfere. Bruno Mantini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Lupi, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Alfredo Muto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eugenio Di Gaetano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Claudio De Amicis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Claudio De Amicis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Muto, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Muto in the 82nd minute of play forced Cogliate FC's goalkeeper Claudio De Amicis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Alfredo Muto came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Agnano FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Muto couldn't finish the play. Bruno Mantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fulvio Palermo in the 94th minute of play. Carmine Musso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Claudio De Amicis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
