Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carter Ceci in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Carter Ceci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beppe Capuozzi having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Angelo Sanna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Beppe Capuozzi. Biassa AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Angelo Sanna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Anfilogino Cieri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Biassa AFC's zone, Carter Ceci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beppe Capuozzi came out of the goal and Carter Ceci tried to chip the ball over his head. In the 38th minute Carter Ceci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beppe Capuozzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the game, Ernesto Attili was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Biassa AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Leo the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 38th minute of the game. One of Biassa AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of San Leo:s goal. In the 41st minute there was a penalty for San Leo. Fulvio Scalia stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Beppe Capuozzi. 0-2. Edmondo Massimini hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Alfonso Caccia came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Biassa AFC's Anfilogino Cieri. But to his dismay, Anfilogino Cieri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After the first half San Leo were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Flavio Di Ruscio to make the kick off. Arturo Rossini took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alfonso Caccia. San Leo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
