The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Claudio Fiordelisi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Volpe in the 5th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Volpe in the 13th minute of play forced Malagrotta's goalkeeper Claudio Fiordelisi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristoforo Di Giandomenico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Biagio Guida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Aurelio Mastronardi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Malagrotta's zone, Cristiano Volpe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudio Fiordelisi came out of the goal and Cristiano Volpe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Augusto Ciaccia hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Bernardo Profeta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudio Fiordelisi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristiano Volpe went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Roverdicre AFC booed when Malagrotta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Mastronardi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristoforo Di Giandomenico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Biagio Guida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Cristoforo Di Giandomenico got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Claudio Fiordelisi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Profeta in the 40th minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, Bernardo Profeta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Roverdicre AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malagrotta the free kick. In the 43rd minute, Bernardo Profeta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernardo Profeta struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Claudio Fiordelisi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Roverdicre AFC.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristoforo Di Giandomenico was the one to do the kick off. Claudio Fiordelisi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bernardo Profeta showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 52 minute of play. When Malagrotta's Aurelio Mastronardi in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Roverdicre AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Bernardo Profeta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claudio Fiordelisi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Profeta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 70 minutes into the match, Roverdicre AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio Mastronardi came free, but Biagio Guida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 72 minutes in the game, Bernardo Profeta fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Claudio Fiordelisi having to interfere. Alessio Ferrante kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Bernardo Profeta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Claudio Fiordelisi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cristoforo Di Giandomenico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardo Profeta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Claudio Fiordelisi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristiano Volpe succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 85th playminute. Bernardo Profeta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Fiordelisi having to interfere. After having played for 92 minutes, Cristiano Volpe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Roverdicre AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Volpe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Malagrotta supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Roverdicre AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Roverdicre AFC.
