Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ettore Ciscato started the match with the kick off. Donato Vago made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ciro Santangelo in the 10th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Ettore Ciscato notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Mensa AFC's Fausto Taraborrelli. Fausto Taraborrelli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Donato Vago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carmine Cericola in the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ettore Ciscato in the 20th minute of play forced Mensa AFC's goalkeeper Fausto Taraborrelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Mensa AFC's Ciro Santangelo got a free kick in the 25th minute. Demetrio Volponi, 26 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Santo Briccio FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carmine Cericola came free, but Donato Vago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ettore Ciscato came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Santo Briccio FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ettore Ciscato couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ettore Ciscato in the 41st minute of play forced Mensa AFC's goalkeeper Fausto Taraborrelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antonio Forlani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Fausto Taraborrelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 48th minute, Antonio Forlani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carmine Cericola to make the kick off. A collision led to Mensa AFC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Enrico Zappacosta hit a great ball. Antonio Forlani's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fausto Taraborrelli firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 57th minute, Mensa AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Antonio Forlani fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Carmine Cericola struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Donato Vago didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mensa AFC. If Ettore Ciscato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ettore Ciscato was extremely unlucky when he, in the 67th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Cosimo Corvo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Donato Vago having to make a save. 79 minutes into the match, Santo Briccio FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cosimo Corvo came free, but Donato Vago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cosimo Corvo in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donato Vago prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 84 minutes into the game, Mensa AFC's Carmine Cericola nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Donato Vago made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Donato Vago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmine Cericola in the 92nd minute of play. Ettore Ciscato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
