After a rather tough play, Casier FC's Franco Leggeri got a free kick in the 24th minute. After having played for 25 minutes, Donato Cardano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villa Adriana FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donato Cardano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ercole Giovannelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Emiliano Alfonsi sped through Villa Adriana FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cesare Tarulli. After a rather tough play, Casier FC's Fedele Di Luzio got a free kick in the 44th minute. 45 minutes into the game, Ercole Giovannelli recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Anthony Africano. Ercole Giovannelli showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ercole Giovannelli to strike the kick off in the second half. If Emiliano Alfonsi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cesare Tarulli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Dorigatti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of Villa Adriana FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Casier FC:s goal. Cesare Tarulli went to the wrong direction when Cosimo Valeriani was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ercole Giovannelli in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anthony Africano saved Casier FC from getting behind. The supporters of Casier FC booed when Villa Adriana FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ercole Giovannelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claudio Dorigatti during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cesare Tarulli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bianco Giancola's late challenge caught a Casier FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bianco Giancola helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 86 minutes, Bruno Berardini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Casier FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruno Berardini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Casier FC's Emiliano Alfonsi got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ercole Giovannelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anthony Africano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ercole Giovannelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Casier FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
