Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Frank Morini kicked off to start the match. In the 8th minute, Alexander Menna had to leave the field with a concussion. Alvise Berti's late challenge caught a Cattolica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alvise Berti helped the player get up and apologised. Alvise Berti hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. If Francesco Selvaggi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amedeo Iori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Morini in the 13th minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Donato Di Silvio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cattolica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Polenta the free kick. In the 21st match minute, Cattolica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Di Silvio to maneuver through the defense. Amedeo Iori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Martinelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, Polenta's goalkeeper Eugenio Ciarrocchi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francesco Selvaggi. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 32nd minute of the game. One of Polenta:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cattolica:s goal. In the 39th minute Alvise Berti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amedeo Iori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donato Di Silvio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Eugenio Ciarrocchi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 2-0 became the score in the 43rd minute when Francesco Selvaggi elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Francesco Selvaggi made the kick off in the second half. Donato Di Silvio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Eugenio Ciarrocchi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francesco Selvaggi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 59 minutes, Emilio Martinelli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Polenta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilio Martinelli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 60 played minutes Cattolica got a freekick which was hit by Franco Facchetti. 61 minutes into the game, Frank Morini recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Amedeo Iori. Frank Morini showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. In the 66th minute, Donato Di Silvio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Frank Morini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Franco Facchetti's late challenge caught a Polenta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Franco Facchetti helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cattolica getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Franco Facchetti hit a great ball. 70 minutes in the game, Frank Morini fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Amedeo Iori having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Francesco Selvaggi had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anselmo Pelliccioni during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 73rd minute, Eugenio Barberio sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Polenta's Eugenio Ciarrocchi didn't even have to move. Cattolica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Frank Morini scored to the left of an out of position Amedeo Iori, making the score, 2-2. After a rather tough play, Cattolica's Eugenio Barberio got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute, Emilio Martinelli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amedeo Iori was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Frank Morini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Amedeo Iori tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cattolica's Amedeo Iori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Morini in the 97th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Polenta had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
