But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Padula couldn't finish the play. In the 15th minute, Emanuele Barbanti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Tor Lupara AFC's Fausto Scudieri got a free kick in the 16th minute. When Emanuele Barbanti came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Sessant FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuele Barbanti couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Tor Lupara AFC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Aurelio Palermo hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Sessant FC defense, Biagio Di Febo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bianco Contaldi. The Sessant FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bianco Contaldi should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Sessant FC's Aurelio Valcareggi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fabio Di Cesare. That made the score 2-1 after 24 minutes of play. Sessant FC's Aurelio Valcareggi got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Biagio Di Febo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 35th match minute, Sessant FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Conte to maneuver through the defense. Ernesto Cerrone charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ernesto Cerrone the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 38th minute, one of Tor Lupara AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tor Lupara AFC. The goalkeeper, Fabio Di Cesare, was totally fooled by Sessant FC's Fabiano Scoca, who 41 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. A collision led to Tor Lupara AFC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Antonello Antonelli hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aurelio Valcareggi was the one to do the kick off. Aurelio Valcareggi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Di Cesare having to interfere. Christian Padula succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-2 in the 57th playminute. Emanuele Barbanti might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabio Di Cesare. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emanuele Barbanti ran back to his position shaking his head. Fabio Di Cesare stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aurelio Valcareggi's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute Sessant FC were awarded a corner. Fabiano Scoca went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Sessant FC's corner Fabiano Scoca fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fabio Di Cesare quite easily take care of the ball. In the 69th minute, Aurelio Valcareggi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabio Di Cesare was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. Christian Padula received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Bianco Contaldi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Sessant FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Emiliano Boldrini hit a great ball. Christian Padula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 4-3 when Biagio Di Febo sped through Sessant FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bianco Contaldi. Aurelio Valcareggi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aurelio Palermo got free with Bianco Contaldi in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tor Lupara AFC's Fabio Di Cesare played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Valcareggi in the 94th minute of play. Emanuele Barbanti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabio Di Cesare read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play.
