Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Malborghetto's Enzo Tundo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alfredo Riva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Attilio Giandomenico having to interfere. Fausto Salerni charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fausto Salerni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Basovizza FC booed when Malborghetto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Salerni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eraldo Romagnoli's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Emilio Boninsegna firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 13th minute, Basovizza FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Enzo Tundo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franco Bozzo in the 15th minute of play forced Basovizza FC's goalkeeper Emilio Boninsegna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, Cristoforo Aquilino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Attilio Giandomenico was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, Malborghetto's Enzo Tundo got a free kick in the 27th minute. Alfredo Riva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Attilio Giandomenico read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Malborghetto's Attilio Giandomenico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Riva in the 33rd minute of play. If Cristoforo Aquilino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute Cristoforo Aquilino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Attilio Giandomenico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 45 played minutes Basovizza FC got a freekick which was hit by Domenico Furino. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Alfredo Riva made the kick off in the second half. Attilio Giandomenico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Riva in the 52nd minute of the match. Cristoforo Aquilino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Malborghetto's Attilio Giandomenico proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Malborghetto from getting a goal against them. Cristoforo Aquilino who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Attilio Giandomenico when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Malborghetto's zone, Alfredo Riva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Attilio Giandomenico came out of the goal and Alfredo Riva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristoforo Aquilino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Basovizza FC booed when Malborghetto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Concetto Cala didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Attilio Giandomenico managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Basovizza FC's Cristoforo Aquilino fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Alfredo Riva came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Basovizza FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Riva couldn't finish the play. Franco Bozzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Emilio Boninsegna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Basovizza FC's goal looked a bit too open when Franco Bozzo came free, but Emilio Boninsegna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enzo Tundo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute Alfredo Riva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Attilio Giandomenico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute Franco Bozzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Boninsegna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Basovizza FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
