Corrado Santacroce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Dave Barbanti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anfilogino Frabetti hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Corrado Santacroce's late challenge caught a Anconetta FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Corrado Santacroce helped the player get up and apologised. Dave Barbanti made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Ferdinando Barbanti sent off a good shot on target. 7 minutes into the match, Corrado Santacroce dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dave Barbanti, 1-0. Dave Barbanti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corrado Santacroce in the 11th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Caltana's Fabio Cosi got a free kick in the 15th minute. Aurelio Berardini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabrizio Crema in the 17th minute of play. Armin Fracassi charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Armin Fracassi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Anconetta FC's Armin Fracassi got a free kick in the 20th minute. Caltana's Alvise Albani couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 21st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Anconetta FC. Dave Barbanti came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Caltana's Corrado Santacroce. But to his dismay, Corrado Santacroce quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Ferdinando Barbanti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Dave Barbanti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dave Barbanti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinando Barbanti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Christian Fiore managed to get in a good position for a shot. Anconetta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Fiore was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aurelio Berardini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 40th minute Corrado Santacroce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Barbanti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Camillo Giacchetti charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Camillo Giacchetti the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Anconetta FC booed when Caltana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camillo Giacchetti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christian Fiore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Berardini having to interfere. Fabrizio Crema received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Aurelio Berardini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Corrado Santacroce to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Alvaro Miccoli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dave Barbanti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corrado Santacroce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ferdinando Barbanti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dave Barbanti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Fiore in the 63rd minute of play forced Caltana's goalkeeper Aurelio Berardini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aurelio Berardini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Fiore in the 65th minute of play. If Christian Fiore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fabrizio Crema succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 68th playminute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christian Fiore in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aurelio Berardini saved Caltana from getting behind. Corrado Santacroce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferdinando Barbanti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caltana's Camillo Giacchetti got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Caltana's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
