Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Caselline's Ferruccio Di Gregorio started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Caselline's Damiano Zaccardi got a free kick in the 5th minute. Eugenio Benarrivo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlo Rava read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferruccio Di Gregorio in the 12th minute of play forced Fontana AFC's goalkeeper Cesare Vieri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bianco Petrocchi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fontana AFC's Cesare Vieri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferruccio Di Gregorio in the 16th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Fontana AFC's Arturo Boninsegna got a free kick in the 18th minute. Caselline's Carlo Rava played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Preda in the 21st minute of play. Eugenio Benarrivo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlo Rava having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Alberto Preda notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Caselline's Carlo Rava. Domenico Restaino hit a great ball. Eugenio Benarrivo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlo Rava having to interfere. In the 36th minute Alberto Preda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlo Rava saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Fontana AFC's Alberto Preda sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlo Rava narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cesare Vieri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferruccio Di Gregorio in the 45th minute of play. After the first half Fontana AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Alberto Preda made the kick off in the second half. Federico Sorge kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Fabiano Di Filippo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute Ferruccio Di Gregorio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesare Vieri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ferruccio Di Gregorio came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Caselline fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferruccio Di Gregorio couldn't finish the play. Bianco Petrocchi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
