Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Camillo Di Iulio in the 3rd minute of play forced Limbiate's goalkeeper Eraldo Lucantoni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 5 minutes into the game, Camillo Oroni cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Eraldo Lucantoni was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Claudio Barbanti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franco Guarrera, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After 12 played minutes Cornocchio got a freekick which was hit by Domenico Fiori. Ferdinando Melucci charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ferdinando Melucci the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cornocchio getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Ferdinando Melucci hit a great ball. Domenico Fiori hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Ferdinando Melucci got his second yellow card in the match during the 25th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Ferdinando Melucci hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After having played for 28 minutes, Franco Guarrera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Limbiate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Franco Guarrera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eraldo Lucantoni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camillo Oroni, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Fabio Di Claudio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Claudio Barbanti made a huge save. Camillo Oroni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Eraldo Lucantoni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute Franco Guarrera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Barbanti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 45 played minutes Franco Guarrera rounded Cornocchio's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Camillo Oroni made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Franco Guarrera had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudio Barbanti. Cornocchio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Franco Guarrera was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. If Camillo Oroni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Cornocchio's Camillo Di Iulio got a free kick in the 67th minute. If Antonio Tonon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Camillo Oroni's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eraldo Lucantoni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Franco Guarrera notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Cornocchio's Claudio Barbanti. Claudio Barbanti was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Armin Vespucci kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. When Dino Santone came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Limbiate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dino Santone couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabio Di Claudio in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claudio Barbanti saved Cornocchio from getting behind. Claudio Barbanti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Di Claudio in the 91st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Camillo Oroni got free with Eraldo Lucantoni in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 97 minutes Limbiate's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alexander Perna who took care of the corner kick. Camillo Di Iulio was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Cornocchio's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
