After a rather tough play, Cavallasca's Elia Olmi got a free kick in the 16th minute. After having played for 17 minutes, Alex Bellucci managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Borgo Sabotino's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Bellucci was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alex Bellucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Cristiano Di Leonardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Alfredo Marcelli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristiano Di Leonardo. Cavallasca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfredo Marcelli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Davide Barbanti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beppe Desiderio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Beppe Desiderio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Davide Barbanti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmondo Russi's late challenge caught a Borgo Sabotino's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edmondo Russi helped the player get up and apologised. Edmondo Russi hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Alfredo Marcelli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristiano Di Leonardo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. In the 37th minute, Alex Bellucci fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Cavallasca's Cristiano Di Leonardo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Cavallasca from getting a goal against them. After 45 played minutes Cavallasca got a freekick which was hit by Ferdinando Costanzo. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alex Bellucci stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Davide Barbanti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beppe Desiderio, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 60th match minute, Cavallasca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damiano Raiola to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Borgo Sabotino's zone, Dave Valente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Davide Barbanti came out of the goal and Dave Valente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristiano Di Leonardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Bellucci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the game, Beppe Desiderio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. A wasted opportunity for Borgo Sabotino. 81 minutes into the match, Cavallasca's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Bellucci came free, but Cristiano Di Leonardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredo Marcelli during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Alfredo Marcelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
