After a rather tough play, Sarna AFC's Christian Palone got a free kick in the 9th minute. Aldo Vittorio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrea Sartori, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Cesare Saturno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Benedetti in the 14th minute of the match. If Armando Benedetti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaione FC's Andrea Sartori got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The goalkeeper, Aldo Vittorio, was totally fooled by Gaione FC's Fabiano Marchegiani, who 24 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The supporters of Sarna AFC booed when Gaione FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Bertolini didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute, Christian Palone got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Armando Benedetti came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Sarna AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Benedetti couldn't finish the play. Aldo Vittorio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrea Sartori in the 40th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrea Sartori in the 44th minute of play forced Sarna AFC's goalkeeper Aldo Vittorio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Gaione FC's zone, Ferdinando Penna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesare Saturno came out of the goal and Ferdinando Penna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andrea Sartori was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match Camillo Mansueto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aldo Vittorio skillfully saved the ball. Sarna AFC's Aldo Vittorio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Foddis in the 57th minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Andrea Sartori cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Aldo Vittorio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Armando Benedetti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. In the 96th minute, Andrea Sartori got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gaione FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
