In the 15th minute, Filippo Cirelli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eugenio Festuccia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Carlo Lo Iacono when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 18th minute, Eugenio Festuccia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlo Lo Iacono was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Carlo Lo Iacono made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavio Limitone in the 23rd minute of play. Amos Totaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Aceto in the 24th minute of the match. When Francesco Bravo came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Borgosatollo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francesco Bravo couldn't finish the play. Carlo Lo Iacono took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavio Limitone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francesco Bravo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amos Totaro having to interfere. Amos Totaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Aceto in the 34th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Flavio Limitone managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santa Severa's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavio Limitone was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlo Lo Iacono breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Flavio Limitone to make the kick off. If Ernesto Aceto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flavio Limitone in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlo Lo Iacono prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ennio Firmani hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Amos Totaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Aceto, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Santa Severa's zone, Francesco Bravo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amos Totaro came out of the goal and Francesco Bravo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlo Lo Iacono showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Festuccia in the 69th minute of the match. Eugenio Festuccia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlo Lo Iacono having to make a save. Francesco Bravo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
