Domenico Rocchetti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Varlungo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! If Franco Marcantonio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlo Di Sante in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Domenico Rocchetti saved Varlungo from getting behind. After 18 played minutes Orbassano AFC got a freekick which was hit by Donato Romano. After 19 played minutes, Varlungo's Florian Forlano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Christian Forlano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Varlungo reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amos Carciofo in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christian Forlano saved Orbassano AFC from getting behind. The attack was good, but when Amos Carciofo in the 23rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After 25 minutes, Carlo Biondi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Varlungo and the Orbassano AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Carlo Biondi kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. If Carlo Di Sante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 35 played minutes Varlungo got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Ricciuti. In the 39th minute, Carlo Di Sante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antonio Ricciuti during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 41 played minutes Varlungo got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Ricciuti. After recieving a nice pass, Orbassano AFC's Donato Romano tried to score from far away in the 42nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Domenico Rocchetti was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Carlo Di Sante capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Carlo Di Sante really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlo Di Sante to strike the kick off in the second half. 4-1 became the score in the 51st minute when Amos Carciofo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Carlo Biondi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute, Carlo Di Sante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Varlungo's Antonio Ricciuti got a free kick in the 61st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Varlungo's zone, Franco Marcantonio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domenico Rocchetti came out of the goal and Franco Marcantonio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 68th minute Amos Carciofo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Forlano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonio Ricciuti was shown his second yellow card after 69 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 69th minute, Antonio Ricciuti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute of the match Orbassano AFC got a corner. Varlungo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Donato Romano ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Orbassano AFC's Donato Romano to fire away a dangerous shot which Domenico Rocchetti despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Domenico Rocchetti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlo Di Sante in the 76th minute of play. The supporters of Orbassano AFC booed when Varlungo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio De Rossi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Orbassano AFC's Donato Romano broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 83 played minutes Varlungo got a freekick which was hit by Amos Carciofo. After a defensive mix-up in Varlungo's zone, Franco Marcantonio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domenico Rocchetti came out of the goal and Franco Marcantonio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Domenico Rocchetti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristoforo Bottega in the 94th minute of the match. Varlungo's Domenico Rocchetti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franco Marcantonio in the 96th minute of play.
