Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Aldo Ansoldi got the match started through his kick off. A collision led to Borella getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Felice Tozzi hit a great ball. After having played for 7 minutes, Aldo Ansoldi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sessant's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aldo Ansoldi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmine Lozzi in the 9th minute of play forced Sessant's goalkeeper Beppe Sasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 10 played minutes Borella got a freekick which was hit by Adriano Giordani. If Alex Delle Donne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enzo Verna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aldo Ansoldi in the 14th minute of the match. Enzo Verna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aldo Ansoldi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enzo Verna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aldo Ansoldi's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Enzo Verna didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aldo Ansoldi went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Alex Delle Donne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sessant's Aldo Ansoldi in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Borella's goalie prevented a goal. After 27 played minutes Borella got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Sebastiani. Aldo Ansoldi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enzo Verna having to interfere. After 30 played minutes Sessant got a freekick which was hit by Flavio Malinconico. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carmine Lozzi in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Beppe Sasso saved Sessant from getting behind. Adriano Giordani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmine Lozzi in the 34th minute of play forced Sessant's goalkeeper Beppe Sasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Carmine Lozzi came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Borella fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carmine Lozzi couldn't finish the play. Arrigo Paglione lost his temper 47 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sessant! In the 49th minute there was a penalty for Borella. Carlo Paris stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Beppe Sasso. 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carmine Lozzi was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Sessant's zone, Adriano Giordani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beppe Sasso came out of the goal and Adriano Giordani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Alex Delle Donne managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sessant's supporters rose to their feet, but Alex Delle Donne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enzo Verna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Beppe Sasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmine Lozzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After 76 minutes, Flavio Malinconico mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sessant and the Borella players grew even worse after the yellow card. Damiano Mucci hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After 79 played minutes, Borella's Carlo Paris shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Beppe Sasso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Borella reached it. Carmine Lozzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Beppe Sasso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sessant's goalkeeper Beppe Sasso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 88 minutes into the game, Adriano Giordani cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Beppe Sasso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 91st minute, Damiano Mucci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Adriano Giordani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Borella's Carmine Lozzi managed to work through Sessant's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Carmine Lozzi dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Adriano Giordani scored 3-1 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Beppe Sasso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Borella were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Sessant for a fine match.
