Fabiano Baratta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugenio Farina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Demetrio Ceccarelli kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Antonio Cocca took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabiano Baratta. Fabiano Baratta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Fabiano Baratta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugenio Farina in the 24th minute of play. Cermenate AFC's Fabiano Baratta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Farina in the 25th minute of play. After 27 played minutes Cermenate AFC's Antonello Fava stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Damiano Paoletti stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Cartabbia of the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Antonio Cocca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabiano Baratta. Damiano Paoletti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonello Fava in the 42nd minute. If Antonello Fava had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Cartabbia were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emiliano Muzzatti to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Fabiano Mantini managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cartabbia's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabiano Mantini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabiano Baratta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 58th minute of the match Filippo Massimini shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Damiano Paoletti showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Cartabbia's Fabiano Mantini got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 66th minute Eugenio Farina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabiano Baratta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Cartabbia's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Muzzatti came free, but Damiano Paoletti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th match minute, Cermenate AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bianco De Toni to maneuver through the defense. Cermenate AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Eugenio Farina scored to the left of an out of position Fabiano Baratta, making the score, 0-3. Antonello Fava received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Damiano Paoletti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 93 minutes, Enzo Passerini mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cartabbia and the Cermenate AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 93rd minute, Enzo Passerini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Muzzatti in the 96th minute of play forced Cartabbia's goalkeeper Damiano Paoletti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Cartabbia players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
