In the 10th match minute, Ladino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corrado Righi to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antonio Bertini during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Demetrio Piccoli took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Enzo Frabetti. Mompiano FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a little luck, Ladino's Alex Di Toma got control of the ball when Ermanno Margoni tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32nd minute of the match, Alexander Di Pietro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alex Di Toma saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Ferdinando Di Liddo fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mompiano FC's protests and gave Ferdinando Di Liddo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Mompiano FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Ferdinando Di Liddo hit a great ball. Enzo Frabetti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franco Filippini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute, Alfonso Taccone ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Enzo Frabetti was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Alex Di Toma made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ermanno Margoni in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute, Ermanno Margoni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Franco Filippini to make the kick off. Franco Filippini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ermanno Margoni might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alex Di Toma. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ermanno Margoni ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Franco Filippini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enzo Frabetti was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. After 88 minutes of play, Mompiano FC's Ermanno Margoni made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alex Di Toma was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
