Anthony Masetti who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Aldo Volponi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuele Liberati in the 24th minute of play forced Nuova Florida's goalkeeper Armando Pavia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amedeo Vianello in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armando Pavia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alfonso Pensa kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. The supporters of Lodra booed when Nuova Florida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Masetti didn't get a good kick on the ball. With 40 minutes on the clock, Fedele Africano commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 47th minute Emanuele Liberati shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Pavia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Emanuele Liberati fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Pavia having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emanuele Liberati in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armando Pavia saved Nuova Florida from getting behind. With a little luck, Nuova Florida's Armando Pavia got control of the ball when Antonello Santilli tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Anthony Masetti came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Nuova Florida fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anthony Masetti couldn't finish the play. When Comunardo Pietrangelo fell near the penalty area in the 98th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lodra's protests and gave Comunardo Pietrangelo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Lodra getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Comunardo Pietrangelo hit a great ball. In the 99th minute of the match Demetrio Albertini shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aldo Volponi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lodra walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
