The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 5 minutes, Christian Pietrantoni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vignale Nuovo AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Pietrantoni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, Vignale Nuovo AFC's Elia Banana threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Christian Pietrantoni, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Ferdinando Mansueto came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Palazzina AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferdinando Mansueto couldn't finish the play. After 17 played minutes Vignale Nuovo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Fortunato Simone. 19 minutes into the match, Palazzina AFC's Fabio Di Febo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Damiano Cardano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Di Febo in the 20th minute of play forced Vignale Nuovo AFC's goalkeeper Damiano Cardano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Christian Pietrantoni fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Elia Banana, passed just outside the right post. With a little luck, Palazzina AFC's Elia Banana got control of the ball when Alex De Leonardis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elia Banana was a little too slow when Christian Pietrantoni got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Palazzina AFC's zone, Alex De Leonardis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elia Banana came out of the goal and Alex De Leonardis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alex De Leonardis got free with Elia Banana in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabio Di Febo was the one to do the kick off. Fortunato Simone tried to clear up in front of Damiano Cardano but instead he got an unlucky hit on the ball which made it go via the left pole into goal meaning 1-1 in the 51st matchminute. A very disappointing self made goal. Beppe Di Lello took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Elia Banana. Palazzina AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 61st minute Alex De Leonardis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elia Banana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Vignale Nuovo AFC fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when Vignale Nuovo AFC's Christian Pietrantoni looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Alex De Leonardis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damiano Cardano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Di Febo in the 71st minute of the match. Vignale Nuovo AFC's Damiano Cardano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Di Febo in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th match minute, Palazzina AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damiano Ansoldi to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes into the game, Daniele Maggi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palazzina AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vignale Nuovo AFC the free kick. Daniele Maggi kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After having played for 87 minutes, Alex De Leonardis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vignale Nuovo AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex De Leonardis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabio Di Febo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damiano Cardano having to interfere. Damiano Cardano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferdinando Mansueto in the 91st minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Palazzina AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Alex De Leonardis came free, but Elia Banana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vignale Nuovo AFC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
