Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Collina's Ernesto Mazzocchi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Frassino's goal looked a bit too open when Aldo Albertosi came free, but Arrigo Bevilacqua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Collina's Ciro Guidoni got control of the ball when Fausto Sammartano tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 14 minutes, Federico Romino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Collina and the Frassino players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Collina getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Federico Romino hit a great ball. Alfonso Renzetti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Guidoni having to interfere. In the 25thth minute of the game Fausto Sammartano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Collina's Ciro Guidoni was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 26th match minute, Collina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmondo Di Carlo to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the game, Frassino's Fausto Sammartano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ciro Guidoni made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Arrigo Bevilacqua made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aldo Albertosi in the 37th minute of play. 45 minutes into the game, Cristoforo De Matteis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ciro Guidoni. Cristoforo De Matteis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristoforo De Matteis in the 51st minute of play forced Collina's goalkeeper Ciro Guidoni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 52 played minutes Collina got a freekick which was hit by Flavio Vinciguerra. Arrigo Bevilacqua showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Mazzocchi in the 55th minute of the match. Cristoforo De Matteis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Ciro Guidoni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enzo Laudadio struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Ciro Guidoni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Frassino. If Fausto Sammartano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Aldo Albertosi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Frassino's Alfonso Renzetti got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 74th minute Ernesto Mazzocchi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arrigo Bevilacqua saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Collina's Aldo Albertosi got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 88 minutes, Cristoforo De Matteis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Frassino's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristoforo De Matteis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th match minute, Frassino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Laudadio to maneuver through the defense. Collina's Donato Spinelli couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 95th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Frassino.
