Trieste FC's Ettore Chiarelli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Trieste FC from getting a goal against them. When Fedele Masetti came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Marsignano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fedele Masetti couldn't finish the play. Fedele Masetti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Ettore Chiarelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flavio Esposito in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amerigo Giocondo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ettore Chiarelli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fedele Masetti in the 24th minute. 28 minutes into the game, Fausto Dominici lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Ettore Chiarelli. When Comunardo Di Iulio fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marsignano's protests and gave Comunardo Di Iulio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 31stth minute of the game Diego Lauro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marsignano's Amerigo Giocondo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fabiano Iezzi kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Trieste FC's Diego Lauro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amerigo Giocondo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Amerigo Giocondo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trieste FC. Flavio Esposito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amerigo Giocondo having to interfere. Trieste FC's Ettore Chiarelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Dominici in the 60th minute of play. Aldo Muto charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Fedele Masetti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Flavio Esposito was extremely unlucky when he, in the 66th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Fedele Masetti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Aldo Muto hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Fausto Dominici took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ettore Chiarelli. Ettore Chiarelli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. During the 76th minute of the match Amos Di Monte completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Amos Di Monte a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. 79 minutes into the game, Marsignano's Fausto Dominici nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ettore Chiarelli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Ettore Chiarelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Dominici in the 89th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Marsignano fans cheered their team off the field, for while Trieste FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
