Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Marina Di Ravenna FC's Federico Morandin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Federico Morandin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amedeo Napoleoni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 3 minutes, Emiliano Pagliuca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pirri and the Marina Di Ravenna FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Pirri getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Emiliano Pagliuca hit a great ball. 5 minutes into the match, Marina Di Ravenna FC's Federico Morandin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amedeo Napoleoni narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Pirri's Cesare Improta got a free kick in the 6th minute. Pirri's Comunardo Franco shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 11th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Enrico Di Palma but with some difficulty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franco Felicetti in the 13th minute of play forced Marina Di Ravenna FC's goalkeeper Enrico Di Palma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ercole Lepori received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Enrico Di Palma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 16 minutes, Ercole Lepori managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pirri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ercole Lepori was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th match minute, Marina Di Ravenna FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabiano Lizzi to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Federico Morandin sped through Pirri's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Amedeo Napoleoni. Arturo Sforza kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Franco Felicetti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrico Di Palma having to interfere. Ercole Lepori received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Enrico Di Palma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute Demetrio Del Grosso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amedeo Napoleoni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Marina Di Ravenna FC's zone, Ercole Lepori stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrico Di Palma came out of the goal and Ercole Lepori tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Marina Di Ravenna FC's goalkeeper Enrico Di Palma, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half Marina Di Ravenna FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Franco Felicetti to make the kick off. Enrico Di Palma came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Pirri's Franco Felicetti. But to his dismay, Franco Felicetti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Marina Di Ravenna FC's Federico Morandin got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Franco Felicetti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enrico Di Palma read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Demetrio Del Grosso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Amedeo Napoleoni made a huge save. Amedeo Napoleoni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Demetrio Del Grosso in the 67th minute. In the 70th minute, Emiliano Pagliuca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cosimo Avesani hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Ercole Lepori sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute, Ferruccio Verna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ercole Lepori fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrico Di Palma having to interfere. Enrico Di Palma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ercole Lepori, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Franco Felicetti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marina Di Ravenna FC were furious when Elia Dionisi was red carded, 90 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 89th minute, one of Marina Di Ravenna FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Marina Di Ravenna FC. In the 92nd minute there was a penalty for Pirri. Cesare Improta stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Enrico Di Palma. 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franco Felicetti in the 96th minute of play forced Marina Di Ravenna FC's goalkeeper Enrico Di Palma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pirri fans cheered their team off the field, for while Marina Di Ravenna FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
