An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Natalucci in the 4th minute of play forced Antignano's goalkeeper Armando Buffone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Mantelle AFC's Cesare Di Matteo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Armando Buffone narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Carmine Colonna struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Andrea Tripodi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Antignano. The Antignano fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Antignano's Carmine Colonna looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Antignano's goalkeeper Armando Buffone, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Andrea Tripodi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camillo Cardillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelo Natalucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Buffone having to interfere. With his leg Andrea Tripodi managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Antignano's Carmine Colonna fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Mantelle AFC's zone, Carmine Colonna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrea Tripodi came out of the goal and Carmine Colonna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Angelo Natalucci to strike the kick off in the second half. Attilio Scannella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Attilio Scannella could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Armando Buffone made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Camillo Cardillo in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrea Tripodi saved Mantelle AFC from getting behind. Ernesto Cocca hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 76th match minute, Antignano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Cocca to maneuver through the defense. Mantelle AFC's Angelo Natalucci was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 77th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. With a little luck, Antignano's Armando Buffone got control of the ball when Attilio Scannella tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 94th match minute, Mantelle AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Coscarella to maneuver through the defense. Camillo Cardillo struck a weak shot in the 95th minute.
