The supporters of Montesicuro booed when Cerveteri FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Taddeo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Cerveteri FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Ciro Borel hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Cerveteri FC's Dario Barillari got a free kick in the 18th minute. After 19 played minutes, Montesicuro's Carter Piccirilli shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emilio Crema came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Montesicuro reached it. After 26 played minutes Cerveteri FC got a freekick which was hit by Frank Macchia. In the 27th minute of the match Carter Piccirilli shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emilio Crema showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alex Meo got free with Anfilogino Gargano in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Bianco Mirto came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Cerveteri FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bianco Mirto couldn't finish the play. Montesicuro's Anfilogino Gargano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bianco Mirto in the 48th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Bianco Mirto made the kick off in the second half. Bianco Mirto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anfilogino Gargano having to interfere. Emilio Crema made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Bruno in the 56th minute of play. Ermanno Grilli in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Emilio Crema, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ermanno Grilli who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Emilio Crema when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee ignored Montesicuro's protests and gave Comunardo Laudadio a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cerveteri FC booed when Montesicuro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Comunardo Laudadio didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ermanno Grilli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute Alex Meo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anfilogino Gargano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alex Meo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Anfilogino Gargano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Montesicuro's Anfilogino Gargano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bianco Mirto in the 93rd minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
