The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 9 minutes into the match, Villagio Cavour's goal looked a bit too open when Francesco Zisser came free, but Armando Orioli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabiano Apolloni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmondo Baggio in the 14th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Frank Iannotti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Amedeo Preda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armando Orioli was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Francesco Zisser showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 25 minute of play. After having played for 30 minutes, Edmondo Baggio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villagio Cavour's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmondo Baggio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amedeo Preda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Armando Orioli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabiano Apolloni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felice Mandara in the 36th minute of play. Valle Benedetta's Fabiano Apolloni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felice Mandara in the 40th minute of play. In the 44thth minute of the game Edmondo Baggio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valle Benedetta's Fabiano Apolloni was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francesco Zisser made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Valle Benedetta's Ferdinando Pezzi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Armando Orioli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 53 minutes in the game, Francesco Zisser dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Edmondo Baggio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francesco Zisser fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Orioli having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Amedeo Preda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Valle Benedetta getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Ferdinando Pezzi hit a great ball. Amedeo Preda struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Armando Orioli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valle Benedetta. The audience cheered when Arrigo Rinaldi's long shot passed Armando Orioli's right side. It was 2-0, 77 minutes into the match. Felice Mandara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabiano Apolloni having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Villagio Cavour's Camillo Mazzocchi got a free kick in the 95th minute.
