Amedeo Andreoli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferruccio Cinalli in the 28th minute of the match. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amedeo Andreoli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Antonello Vitelli received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arrigo Vinci came out and tried to block the shot, but Antonello Vitelli slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 45th minute.

The wind increased when Aurelio Bellisario made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Cesare Masi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Bellisario in the 52nd minute of play forced Marina Di Pisa's goalkeeper Arrigo Vinci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marina Di Pisa's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fabrizio Atroce in the 61st minute. In the 63rd minute, Aurelio Bellisario made a precise shot to the right of Arrigo Vinci. Marina Di Pisa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Marina Di Pisa's Ferruccio Cinalli got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee ignored Spadarolo FC's protests and gave Antonello Vitelli a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Marina Di Pisa booed when Spadarolo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonello Vitelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Marina Di Pisa's Dario Santagata sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amedeo Andreoli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Spadarolo FC's Amedeo Andreoli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Spadarolo FC from getting a goal against them. In the 80th minute, Marina Di Pisa's Carlo Verdini dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. In the 85th minute, Marina Di Pisa's Carlo Verdini ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Amedeo Andreoli. Amedeo Andreoli yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. In the 94th minute, Domenico Di Florio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Spadarolo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Spadarolo FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Marina Di Pisa had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
