Anselmo Mastrocola acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 46th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Corrado Allegretti. After a defensive mix-up in Tor Tre Ponti's zone, Augusto Anelli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anselmo Mastrocola came out of the goal and Augusto Anelli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Dave Garofalo made the kick off in the second half. If Dave Garofalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Augusto Anelli in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anselmo Mastrocola saved Tor Tre Ponti from getting behind. In the 56th minute, Dave Garofalo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anselmo Mastrocola was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Anselmo Mastrocola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dave Garofalo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dennis Porcu hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Claudio Tristezza was a little too slow when Carter Di Cristofaro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 2-2. 84 minutes into the match, Tor Tre Ponti's Felice Marra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudio Tristezza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tor Tre Ponti's Anselmo Mastrocola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Garofalo in the 91st minute of play. Carter Furino might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudio Tristezza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carter Furino ran back to his position shaking his head.
