Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Franco Padula made the kick off which started today's match. If Franco Padula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfonso Carozza was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Cosimo Giardino. After a rather tough play, San Peretto's Alessio Gismondi got a free kick in the 11th minute. After 16 played minutes San Peretto got a freekick which was hit by Armando Spagnuolo. Demetrio Bracco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bernardo Scarano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Demetrio Bracco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, Ciro Del Duca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Giovanico getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Enrico Bordon hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the match, San Peretto's Alessio Gismondi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfonso Carozza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alfonso Carozza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Franco Padula's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. 37 minutes into the game, Alessio Gismondi lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Alfonso Carozza. San Peretto's Franco Padula got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Augusto Biavati to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Alessio Gismondi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Carozza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Augusto Biavati sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 54 minutes into the game, Augusto Biavati lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Bernardo Scarano. The supporters of San Peretto booed when Giovanico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferruccio Filice didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Franco Padula notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Giovanico's Alfonso Carozza. Alfonso Carozza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Augusto Biavati had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augusto Biavati fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Scarano having to interfere. Alessio Gismondi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Alfonso Carozza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Franco Padula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes into the match, Giovanico's goal looked a bit too open when Franco Padula came free, but Alfonso Carozza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giovanico's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
