When Angelo Malvezzi came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Sampierdarena fans jumped to their feet. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Sampierdarena's Emilio Ciccone got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, Sampierdarena's Angelo Malvezzi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfonso Catapano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 82 minutes into the match, Mortillaro's goalkeeper Alfonso Catapano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angelo Malvezzi. The referee ignored Mortillaro's protests and gave Antonio Di Febo a yellow card for diving instead. Angelo Malvezzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Alfonso Catapano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 90 played minutes Mortillaro got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Di Febo. Anselmo Borgatello was extremely unlucky when he, in the 94th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
