Aldo Belfiore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dino Santoro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario Briganti, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Dino Santoro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1.

Dino Santoro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlo Attili went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alvaro Manzi during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 55th minute, Alvaro Manzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Anita's goalkeeper Aldo Belfiore, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Dario Briganti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dino Santoro was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. In the 84th minute of the match Camillo Chioda shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aldo Belfiore showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlo Attili got free with Dino Santoro in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anita's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
