Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Montorfano FC's Florian Tammaro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Florian Baruffa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Ettore Falcioni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugenio Sforza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlo Taglieri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Di Felice, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 12 minutes into the game, Antonio Minicucci was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montorfano FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vallerana AFC the free kick. After 12 played minutes Montorfano FC got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Minicucci. In the 14th match minute, Vallerana AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciccio Bartolucci to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 15 minutes, Florian Tammaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montorfano FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florian Tammaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vallerana AFC's Emilio Di Felice got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlo Taglieri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Di Felice in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute Florian Tammaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ettore Falcioni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th match minute, Vallerana AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Moreschi to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the match, Ernesto Costacurta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlo Taglieri. Montorfano FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ernesto Costacurta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Emilio Garofalo shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Florian Baruffa kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. 47 minutes into the game, Dario Gava cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Carlo Taglieri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Montorfano FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vallerana AFC were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emilio Di Felice stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ernesto Costacurta might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlo Taglieri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernesto Costacurta ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee gave Montorfano FC a penalty, 61 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Anthony Minotti, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Vallerana AFC's Ettore Falcioni. 1-2. In the 67th minute of the match Ciccio Bartolucci shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlo Taglieri showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Montorfano FC's Carlo Taglieri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Montorfano FC from getting a goal against them. Vallerana AFC's Ettore Falcioni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Sforza in the 75th minute of play. The supporters of Vallerana AFC booed when Montorfano FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Minicucci didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 91 minutes, Ernesto Costacurta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vallerana AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernesto Costacurta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
