Florian Tammaro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ferruccio Proietti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Montorfano FC's Carlo Taglieri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Montorfano FC from getting a goal against them. Claudio Farina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlo Taglieri having to make a save. 23 minutes into the match, Montorfano FC's goalkeeper Carlo Taglieri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dino Buffone. In the 26th minute of the match Anthony Minotti sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ferruccio Proietti skillfully saved the ball. Montorfano FC's Carlo Taglieri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Montorfano FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florian Tammaro in the 31st minute of play forced Villa Opicina's goalkeeper Ferruccio Proietti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee ignored Montorfano FC's protests and gave Dino Rozzi a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Villa Opicina booed when Montorfano FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dino Rozzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudio Farina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlo Taglieri having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudio Farina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dino Buffone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Carlo Taglieri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute Dino Buffone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlo Taglieri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
