An unexpected shot in the 4th minute by Carlo De Palma got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ciccio Checchia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Di Cristofaro in the 6th minute of play. When Adriano Di Cristofaro came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Ginestreto FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adriano Di Cristofaro couldn't finish the play. Adriano Di Cristofaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciccio Checchia having to interfere. Ciro Gava hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Boccea's zone, Carlo De Palma stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciccio Checchia came out of the goal and Carlo De Palma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ciccio Checchia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Di Cristofaro in the 19th minute of play. Carlo De Palma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciccio Checchia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adriano Di Cristofaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After 32 played minutes Boccea got a freekick which was hit by Franco Taurino. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Daniele Del Greco made the kick off in the second half. Ciro Gava charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ciro Gava the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ciro Gava hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Ciccio Checchia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlo De Palma in the 67th minute of the match. If Adriano Di Cristofaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 74 minutes, Adriano Di Cristofaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ginestreto FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adriano Di Cristofaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlo De Palma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 80 minutes, Adriano Di Cristofaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ginestreto FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adriano Di Cristofaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlo De Palma in the 85th minute of play forced Boccea's goalkeeper Ciccio Checchia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Ginestreto FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Boccea to win.
