Amos Di Liddo hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Di Maio in the 42nd minute of play forced Rivoli's goalkeeper Cristiano Doris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Fabio Pavia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emiliano Di Maio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damiano Santalucia in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arturo Fabri saved Cafaggio from getting behind. In the 59th minute Emiliano Di Maio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Doris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 60 played minutes Rivoli got a freekick which was hit by Biagio Marcon. Fabio Pavia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute.
