Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fabio Pavia started the match with the kick off. Arturo Fabri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Pavia, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 12th minute, Alfredo Raiola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arturo Fabri was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fabio Pavia showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. After some careless play in the Rivoli defense, Emiliano Di Maio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristiano Doris. The Rivoli fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristiano Doris should have stopped the shot. After 24 minutes, Emanuele Scarpa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rivoli and the Cafaggio players grew even worse after the yellow card. Emanuele Scarpa hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. If Emiliano Di Maio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabio Pavia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Arturo Fabri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Damiano Santalucia came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Rivoli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damiano Santalucia couldn't finish the play. Alvaro Banana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Doris having to interfere. Amos Di Liddo hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Di Maio in the 42nd minute of play forced Rivoli's goalkeeper Cristiano Doris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Fabio Pavia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emiliano Di Maio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Cafaggio's zone, Damiano Santalucia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arturo Fabri came out of the goal and Damiano Santalucia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damiano Santalucia in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arturo Fabri saved Cafaggio from getting behind. In the 59th minute Emiliano Di Maio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Doris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 60 played minutes Rivoli got a freekick which was hit by Biagio Marcon. Fabio Pavia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Arturo Fabri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Rivoli's Emanuele Scarpa got a free kick in the 69th minute. Cristiano Doris made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfredo Raiola in the 70th minute. Fabio Pavia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 86 minutes, Damiano Santalucia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rivoli's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damiano Santalucia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
