The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Domenico Genovese came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Cafaggio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domenico Genovese couldn't finish the play. Eugenio De Nicola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiliano Di Maio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Alfredo Raiola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Emiliano Di Maio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eugenio De Nicola breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 35 played minutes Guasticce AFC got a freekick which was hit by Damiano Quercia. Guasticce AFC's Eugenio De Nicola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Di Maio in the 36th minute of play.
