After a defensive mix-up in Cusano Milanino's zone, Christian Marinetti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabio Bianco came out of the goal and Christian Marinetti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabio Bianco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Marra in the 11th minute of the match. Fabio Bianco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Marra in the 19th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Daniele Testa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cusano Milanino's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniele Testa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ettore Panza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ettore Panza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Guidone, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Ettore Panza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniele Testa in the 25th minute. Fabio Bianco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Marra in the 28th minute of the match. After 28 played minutes Cusano Milanino got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Benvenuto. If Aurelio Marra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Marra in the 41st minute of play forced Cusano Milanino's goalkeeper Fabio Bianco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cesenatico's Aurelio Marra got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anselmo Guidone was the one to do the kick off. When Christian Marinetti came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Cesenatico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Marinetti couldn't finish the play. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Fabio Bianco successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 65 played minutes Cesenatico got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Totaro. Daniele Testa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ettore Panza having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Christian Marinetti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexander Benvenuto hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Alfonso Totaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Alexander Benvenuto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cusano Milanino's Fabio Bianco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Marra in the 80th minute of play. Cusano Milanino's Anselmo Guidone got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anfilogino De Donatis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ettore Panza. Cesenatico's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Aurelio Marra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniele Testa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Ettore Panza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cusano Milanino's Fabio Bianco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Marra in the 95th minute of play. Daniele Testa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
