Anthony Cara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Mazzocchetti having to interfere. Portici's Ferdinando Crispino was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 37th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 41st minute, Anthony Cara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Mignanego FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Bernardo Piccioli hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

If Amos Piccirilli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the match, Portici's Ferdinando Crispino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Francesco Adriano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Francesco Adriano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amos Piccirilli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 70 minutes into the match, Mignanego FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ferdinando Crispino came free, but Francesco Adriano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mignanego FC's goalkeeper Francesco Adriano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Ferdinando Crispino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Francesco Adriano. Mignanego FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ferdinando Crispino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. When the referee ended the match the Portici players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
