After a defensive mix-up in Fabbriche's zone, Fedele Paris stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adriano Imperatrice came out of the goal and Fedele Paris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 12 minutes, Fedele Paris managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grottaferrata FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fedele Paris was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 21st minute, Dino Formica fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alfredo Cangiano, passed just outside the right post. If Eraldo Pietropaolo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grottaferrata FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Dino Formica 26 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Eugenio Colasante's late challenge caught a Fabbriche's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eugenio Colasante helped the player get up and apologised. Eugenio Colasante kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Eraldo Pietropaolo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 37th minute, Anfilogino Santacroce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Grottaferrata FC's Alfredo Cangiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dino Formica in the 41st minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Fedele Paris blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adriano Imperatrice having to make a save. Grottaferrata FC's Alfredo Cangiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dino Formica in the 96th minute of play.
