The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In a very dangerous position, a player in Porrona fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 7th minute. Penalty! Domenico Furia charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Domenico Furia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Parona booed when Porrona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domenico Furia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Davide Ciarrocchi was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 14th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Porrona's goal looked a bit too open when Amedeo Di Leonardo came free, but Frank Maiorano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlo Alfieri got free with Carlo Di Florio in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Porrona's Frank Maiorano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessio Verdecchia in the 26th minute of play. In the 31st match minute, Parona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Ruggeri to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Porrona's Aurelio Ferrara got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Alessio Verdecchia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Frank Maiorano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Porrona defense, Alessio Verdecchia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frank Maiorano. The Porrona fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frank Maiorano should have stopped the shot. In the 46th minute, Amedeo Di Leonardo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Parona fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3.

The wind increased when Amedeo Di Leonardo made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Alessio Verdecchia lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Frank Maiorano. Amedeo Di Leonardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Maiorano having to interfere. Alessio Verdecchia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frank Maiorano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. After having played for 68 minutes, Alessio Verdecchia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Parona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alessio Verdecchia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Porrona's goalkeeper Frank Maiorano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alessio Verdecchia struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Frank Maiorano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Parona. The supporters of Porrona booed when Parona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Mara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlo Alfieri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Carlo Di Florio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 85 minutes of play, Parona's Alessio Verdecchia made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frank Maiorano was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Amedeo Di Leonardo came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Parona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amedeo Di Leonardo couldn't finish the play. Frank Maiorano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amedeo Di Leonardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Parona eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
