The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Zambana Nuova AFC's Edoardo Nasuti got a free kick in the 7th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Mezzano's Ennio Miccio tried to score from far away in the 8th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Antonello Scrima struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Dario Foddis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zambana Nuova AFC. Federico Morelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Ricci having to interfere. Ciccio Scrima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Ricci having to interfere. A collision led to Zambana Nuova AFC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Biagio Di Cristofaro hit a great ball. Antonello Scrima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Antonello Scrima came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Zambana Nuova AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonello Scrima couldn't finish the play. In the 38th match minute, Zambana Nuova AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonello Scrima to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Mezzano defense, Antonello Scrima kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dario Foddis. The Mezzano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dario Foddis should have stopped the shot.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ermanno Volponi in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dario Foddis saved Mezzano from getting behind. 57 minutes into the match, Zambana Nuova AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Morelli came free, but Francesco Ricci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Federico Morelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Ricci having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Ermanno Volponi fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 70 minutes into the match, Zambana Nuova AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ciccio Scrima came free, but Francesco Ricci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francesco Ricci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciccio Scrima in the 84th minute of play. Federico Morelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Francesco Ricci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Zambana Nuova AFC defense, Federico Morelli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francesco Ricci. The Zambana Nuova AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francesco Ricci should have stopped the shot. Biagio Di Cristofaro took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dario Foddis. Dario Foddis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The Zambana Nuova AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
