The supporters of Fastello booed when Zambana Nuova AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edoardo Nasuti didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 42 minutes, Edmondo Montini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fastello's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmondo Montini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edmondo Montini struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Francesco Ricci didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fastello. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmondo Montini stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Edmondo Montini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francesco Ricci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Biagio Di Cristofaro hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Felice Graziani's late challenge caught a Fastello's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Zambana Nuova AFC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Fastello had won, even though Zambana Nuova AFC had held more of the ball.
