The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With his leg Carter Maietta managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when Ravalle's Alexander Troiani fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 9 minutes, Arturo Galeone managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ravalle's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arturo Galeone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Fortunato Stragapede had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristoforo Tiburtini in the 47th minute of play forced Ravalle's goalkeeper Cristoforo Taccone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Cristoforo Taccone came out of the goal and Fortunato Stragapede tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There was no doubt that Ravalle were the better team. Ravalle's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
