Flavio Meazza did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Florian Castellini 18 minutes into the match. Flavio Meazza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Florian Castellini having to make a save. After 25 minutes, Augusto Savini mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Crevari and the Sottomarina FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Sottomarina FC booed when Crevari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Savini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Sottomarina FC's Fedele Tamburrini in the 29th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Florian Castellini was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Crevari through an amazing save. Amerigo Bussi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cosimo Iovine to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Cosimo Iovine dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Diego Negrini, 1-2. Amerigo Bussi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Fedele Tamburrini managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sottomarina FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fedele Tamburrini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florian Castellini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 75th minute, Fedele Tamburrini left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sottomarina FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Fabrizio Lenzi charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Sottomarina FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Crevari the free kick. The supporters of Crevari booed when Sottomarina FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dave Rapone didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sottomarina FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Crevari had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
