Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Fizzonasco's Enzo Tosi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Diego Bevilacqua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anthony Lenzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aurelio Cino struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Anthony Lenzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garbagna Novarese. 5 minutes into the match, Garbagna Novarese's Aurelio Cino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anthony Lenzi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Enzo Tosi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Amerigo Scalia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enzo Tosi, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute, one of Fizzonasco:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fizzonasco. Amerigo Scalia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Amicone, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Enzo Tosi scored 0-2 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amerigo Scalia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 39 minutes into the game, Antonello Di Cristofaro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Anthony Lenzi. Antonello Di Cristofaro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The wind increased when Antonello Di Cristofaro made the kick off in the second half. Fizzonasco's Enzo Tosi managed to work through Garbagna Novarese's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Enzo Tosi dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Enzo Tosi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amerigo Scalia having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Antonello Di Cristofaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arturo Amicone recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enzo Tosi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Amerigo Scalia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Cristiano Domenici hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute, Fedele Di Vincenzo made a precise shot to the right of Anthony Lenzi. Fizzonasco's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. 81 minutes into the match, Fizzonasco's goal looked a bit too open when Antonello Di Cristofaro came free, but Anthony Lenzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Alessio Di Luzio fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fizzonasco's protests and gave Alessio Di Luzio a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Garbagna Novarese booed when Fizzonasco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessio Di Luzio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anthony Lenzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fedele Di Vincenzo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fizzonasco's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Enzo Di Dio was slow to take the kick. During this time Garbagna Novarese's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Garbagna Novarese's Enzo Di Dio to fire away a dangerous shot which Anthony Lenzi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Arturo Amicone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Amerigo Scalia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enzo Tosi in the 90th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fedele Di Vincenzo in the 96th minute of play forced Fizzonasco's goalkeeper Anthony Lenzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
