Domenico Santalucia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmondo Santarelli went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Varedo booed when Grezzana FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cosimo Ciccarelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the game, Angelo Prisco lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Anselmo Molinari. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Enzo Goffredo during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Angelo Prisco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute, Edmondo Santarelli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Alberto Fanfarone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anselmo Molinari was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Angelo Prisco capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Angelo Prisco really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Edmondo Santarelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domenico Santalucia having to interfere. Alfonso De Lorenzi charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfonso De Lorenzi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 48 played minutes Varedo got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso De Lorenzi. It was beautiful to see Grezzana FC's Cosimo Ciccarelli in action when he in the 50th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance!

The wind increased when Edmondo Santarelli made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Florian Savoia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grezzana FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Florian Savoia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Domenico Santalucia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Biagio Rago during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Florian Savoia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domenico Santalucia having to interfere. Domenico Santalucia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd match minute, Varedo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Prisco to maneuver through the defense. Anselmo Molinari showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Fanfarone, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Grezzana FC's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Prisco came free, but Anselmo Molinari reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Florian Savoia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Varedo's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
