The audience was convinced that Alfredo Di Placido's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frank Centofanti was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. If Alfredo Di Placido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. T Ti Giro's Fabio Natale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amedeo Di Muzio in the 40th minute of play. Ontignano FC's Anselmo Troilo got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frank Centofanti didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Flavio Di Nino went, in the 50th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The Ontignano FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. T Ti Giro were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfredo Di Placido to strike the kick off in the second half. Anselmo Troilo struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Fabio Natale came out of the goal and Amedeo Di Muzio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Corrado Soccio charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Corrado Soccio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 92 minutes, Cristiano Mancini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. T Ti Giro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Mancini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 93 minutes into the match, Ontignano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Di Placido came free, but Frank Centofanti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 93 minutes of play, T Ti Giro's Alfredo Di Placido made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frank Centofanti was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cristiano Mancini scored 1-4 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frank Centofanti, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. T Ti Giro walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
