Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Casalgiate FC's Beppe Frabetti started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sarmeola's Elia Riccitelli got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Casalgiate FC's Beppe Frabetti got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 9th minute Dennis Puce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Felli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 11 minutes, Franco Bassani mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sarmeola and the Casalgiate FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 13th minute there was a penalty for Casalgiate FC. Comunardo Melis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ciro Felli. 0-1. Elia Riccitelli struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Antonello Miranda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sarmeola. Dario De Francesco kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute of the match Comunardo Melis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ciro Felli showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ciro Felli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beppe Frabetti in the 25th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Sarmeola's goal looked a bit too open when Beppe Frabetti came free, but Ciro Felli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciro Felli came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Casalgiate FC's Beppe Frabetti. But to his dismay, Beppe Frabetti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Concetto Di Persio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Felli having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Augusto Cirulli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sarmeola's supporters rose to their feet, but Augusto Cirulli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antonello Miranda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Concetto Di Persio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Felli having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Sarmeola's goal looked a bit too open when Beppe Frabetti came free, but Ciro Felli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elia Riccitelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Augusto Cirulli made a kick off. If Elia Riccitelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Dario De Francesco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Augusto Cirulli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Augusto Cirulli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute, Concetto Di Persio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th minute of the match Franco Bassani shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Antonello Miranda showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Beppe Frabetti blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ciro Felli having to make a save. Augusto Cirulli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elia Riccitelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Antonello Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Augusto Cirulli came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Sarmeola fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Cirulli couldn't finish the play.
