The score was 1-0 after a penalty in the 20th minute, where Casalvolone FC:s Ercole Sammartino tricked Bettola AFC:s Alessandro De Zorzi with a difficult ball by the left post. When Casalvolone FC's Ferdinando Marcucci in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Enzo Onori came out of the goal and Flavio Carlucci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ferdinando Marcucci might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alessandro De Zorzi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ferdinando Marcucci ran back to his position shaking his head. If Alfredo Testi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ferdinando Marcucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Alessandro De Zorzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Augusto Ritacco charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Augusto Ritacco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ferdinando Marcucci blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alessandro De Zorzi having to make a save. In the 44thth minute of the game Ferdinando Marcucci who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bettola AFC's Alessandro De Zorzi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Alfredo Testi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Flavio Carlucci made the kick off in the second half. Ferdinando Marcucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro De Zorzi having to interfere. 54 minutes into the game, Casalvolone FC's Ferdinando Marcucci nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alessandro De Zorzi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. When Augusto Minicucci came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Bettola AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Minicucci couldn't finish the play. Flavio Carlucci in the 62ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Enzo Onori, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Enzo Onori made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augusto Minicucci in the 67th minute. Ferdinando Marcucci struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ferdinando Marcucci in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alessandro De Zorzi saved Bettola AFC from getting behind. Alessandro De Zorzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Testi in the 83rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Bettola AFC's Christian Sacchetti got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 85th minute Alfredo Testi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro De Zorzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alessandro De Zorzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Testi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Casalvolone FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bettola AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
